Factors that Have Existed since the Early Education Period which Influenced the Development of Children

Early education is education aimed at children before elementary school. Useful for development and preparing things related to higher education later. Where under 6 years is a golden period for a child, therefore the early education must be passed by the child. However, this early education must be considered and monitored with many factors. Because of course these factors can actually hinder the education of children if they are not more concerned, not only in early education but these factors have an effect as long as the child is studying.
In this early education period teachers in the school are role models and imitation of children. So from that the teacher who becomes an educator in early education must have good skills and should build children's potential to develop students knowledge. Covered from KOMPAS in 2017, it is necessary to increase teacher competency in Early Education on a regular basis so that later education in Indonesia will be better. This is so that children are placed in schools that have professional competence and teachers since the early education period.
The role of parents is very important in the development of a child's education. In the early education period parents must guide so that children's education develops. In 2008 NELP (National Early Literacy Panel) Parents who like to read and be followed by their children will have better comphrehension skills than those who do not ( AsteM, 2017 ). This confirms that the daily activities carried out by parents will be copied by children, so parents must participate in the development of children's education.
A child's hobbies are trivial. But if observed, of course between boys and girls are different. Where the hobby of boys must be masculinist and girls must be feminist. Reported by KOMPASIANA, the appreciation of the child's gender began in 3 years. This proves that knowledge about gender must be taught early so that the physical and mental development of a child develops according to the child's gender.
How children choose friends since early can be a golden opportunity factor. Friendship can be a strong bond or even become the vulnerability of children to become victims of intimidation (Crick and Nelson, 2002: 599). If the child chooses friends who can make the learning spirit increase, the link must continued. But if children find friends who are less friendly and even bully that causes the child to become discouraged, dislike learning and even mental disorders, it can be concluded that friends are very important supporters to motivate children to learn. Therefore, parents with the help of teachers in the school must monitor who they are friends.
In the current millennial era, gadgets have been known by children from an early age. Which gadgets provide information services, one of that can help the development of children's intellectuals. However, it turns out that the gadget can occupy the minds of children (SundusM, 2017). This is valid, which data from The American Academy of Pediatrics and The Canadian Society of Pediatrics contain 60% of parents do not supervise the use of gadgets by children. That proves that the parents and closest relatives must be right and direct the use of the gadget towards learning.
Those are some of the factors that influence children's development since the early education period, including; teachers in schools, parents, children's hobbies, children's friends, and even technology such as gadgets. We recommend that the above factors must be balanced towards the good so as to develop children's development.
