PRESCHOOL
INSPIRES A CHILD OF LEARNING
Early childhood is occurring before 8 years old, is a time of significant growth with brain development at its peak. During this
stage, children are highly influenced by the environment and the people that
surround them. Study in child development in recent
years obviously shows that kids acquire the best experience when the kids are energetic and active. It means that they put their hands on things that all their faces, communication with
other children and adults, move to every place, create and play. When
considering early childhood for
a 4-year-old, parents consider some advantages. There are, Cognitive Development, Preparation for formal school, Create critical thinking and Quality of
preschool.
According to Darcy Ann Olsen, An entitlements policy analyst at the Cato
Institute, “lack of study, success, and support for these programs makes the
universal requirements unnecessary.” But, According to the American Montessori
Society, “in preschool, Montessori students learn through sensory-motor
activities, working with materials that develop their cognitive powers through
direct experiences: seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching and movement.”
The environments create allows children to move around, interact with one
another and play freely. In preschool, children learn the essential social skills that would help
them to get
along with other kids, such as how to share with other kids and take the turns. Children in preschool also have chances to acquire
how to handle their feelings
Preparation for formal school, Another advantage of
preschool for children is
that it can help
kids to get
ready to start their formal education. While at preschool, children are exposed to numbers, letters, shapes, and other
content that they need to be successful in formal education. In preschool,
children learn how to manage the time
through a recognized schedule and routine. They learn about the routine of getting prepare for
school, listen to their teacher’s directions, participate
in class, and more. According to Linda Broatch, M.A. “in education with concern in child growth, high-quality preschool programs take part kids in ways
that help them gain pre-literacy and pre-math skills while letting them time to
play. Preschool also helps children
learn
about the basics of being in school, such as how to put their hands up and how to deal with the teacher's directions.”
Create Critical thinking of kids when joining preschool it means introducing them to the idea
of a teacher being the one and only source
of information can limit their range of learning and skill to think creatively.
In the “Slate” article “Preschool Lessons “New study Shows that Teaching Children a lot, at Ever-Younger Ages,
May Not go as planned.” psychology professor Alison Gopnik says that “when children join preschool, they automatically
narrow their thinking and only consider the information their teacher provides. whereas, kids who don't join preschool tend to search for extensive
ranges of information and consider more options.”
The quality of preschool
education programs for kids varies greatly from school to school. While there
are some excellent programs, others may suffer from poorly trained, underpaid
staff or a lack of financial resources to purchase important educational tools.
Naturally, high-quality preschool programs usually cost more than average or
low-quality programs. According to the U.S. News & World Report article
“The High Cost of Preschool,” “the ever-rising cost of preschool has led some
parents to relocate to areas where child care is less expensive or for
better-paying jobs.”
